3. Developing goods & services to satisfy consumers.

4. Satisfying customer needs better than competitors.

5. Doing this all at profit.

PRODUCT MIX-

Meaning-

Product mix, also known as product assortment, refers to the total number of product lines that a company offers to its customers. For example, a small company may sell multiple lines of products. Sometimes, these product lines are fairly similar, such as dish washing liquid and bar soap, which are used for cleaning and use similar technologies. Other times, the product lines are vastly different, such as diapers and razors. The four dimensions to a company’s product mix include Product Design, Branding, Packaging, Labelling.

Branding-

It is the process of giving a name or sign or symbol to a product.

For e.g.- For shoes brands available are Bata, Reebok, woodland etc.

Packaging refers to the act of designing and producing the container or wrapper of a product.

The physical product that we usually buy comes in packaged form. It is sometimes called a silent salesman.
